Peter Knowles
Peter
is one of the UK’s most experienced sport event and sport business
managers. Passionate about sport he is well known to and respected by
International and National Sport Governing Bodies and sports
organisations throughout the world.
As Chief Executive of the 9th FINA World Swimming Championships 25m in Manchester 2008 he built and led the team that delivered these highly acclaimed championships that set new standards for the presentation of swimming world wide and exceeded the aspirations of all the stakeholders. The Championships also won gold for ‘Event Look’ at the SportBusiness Sport Event Management Awards 2008.
Peter was Assistant Director of Sport for Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games and played a major role in the development of the city’s facility strategy for those Games – a strategy that enabled the staging of a highly successful Commonwealth Games and left the city with a portfolio of world class sport facilities and no white elephants!
As a former international basketball referee and past President of the English Basketball Association Peter was a key member of the Manchester bid teams for both the 1996 and 2000 Olympic and Paralympics Games and was architect of Manchester City Council’s much acclaimed Sports Policy.
No stranger to the commercial world of entertainment either his company, Knowsport Promotions Ltd, were UK promoters for the Harlem Globetrotters and staged more than 50 shows at major venues in the UK and Europe in the six years from 2003 to 2008.

Andrew Matthews
With over 20 years event management experience and 10 years of
specialist event IT infrastructure & systems experience Andrew can
provide your event and event managers with detailed event planning
guidance and IT requirements analysis & specifications together with
robust cost analysis.
Swimming Championships (IT & Logistics Manager). Andrew was also a key manager for the 1991 World Student Games (Aquatics Sports Manager) and 1993 European Swimming Championships (Logistics Director) and has been involved with a range of other events in a consultancy and operational planning capacity including the 2005 International Children’s Games and 1999 World Masters Squash Championships.
Andrew works with and advises a number of UK Governing Bodies of sport relating to their IT systems and membership management systems.

Wendy Walker
Wendy
is one of the UK's most experienced Local Authority Leisure Management
professionals and major event organisers.
A current member of the UK Sport Major Event Panel Wendy was Operations Director for the FINA World Swimming Championships 25m in Manchester 2008, Event Director for the annual ITU Triathlon World Cup in Salford 2003-07 and Assistant Director of Sport for Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Wendy is also vastly experienced in local authority leisure facility management and sport development, healthy lifestyle and sustainable community programmes.
